As the time before the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 passes, momentum is continuing to develop, according to Australia's Minister for Sport Richard Colbeck.

Australians will have the chance to observe and be inspired by the best footballers in the world at the competition, which will symbolise the country's passion for women's football, according to Colbeck. "Hosting 35 matches, including the final, is a great honour for Australia; it will further our growing reputation as a major event host.

The 24 group matches and 5 knockout matches will be held in New Zealand, according to Grant Robertson, Minister of Sport and Recreation of New Zealand.

"Achieving an equal split of the group stage games with Australia is incredibly exciting for Aotearoa and will ensure that more of our sports-crazy nation can enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event in our backyard.
